Who Are the Founders of 12Ships?

12Ships (TSHP) is backed by Twelveships Foundation Ltd., founded by Ahn Michael and Min Young Hoon in March 2018. The company is registered in Singapore but is headquartered in South Korea.

Qianjie Zhao is the director of 12Ships Foundation. Since 2019, he has served as an advisor to FBG Group and as co-founder and CEO of Vancores; the latter acquired 12Ships in April 2020. Zhao entered the blockchain space in 2014, beginning his journey as marketing director for BTCChina. He also took a leading role in BTCChina’s mining pool, which was at one point one of the largest Bitcoin (BTC) mining pools in the world.

Peng Zhao is chief technical officer (CTO) at both 12Ships and Vancores and has 15 years of experience in IC research and development (R&D).

12Ships’ chief hardware architect is Duncan Chen. He has over 16 years’ experience of working in consumer electronics and industrial automation hardware design and management.

Chase Wang is chief software architect at the company and has expertise in blockchain and cryptocurrency mining. Prior to working at 12Ships and Vancores, Wang was the tech director of BTCChina Pool.
