Nacho the Kat (NACHO) is a KRC20 token launched on 30/06/2024 on the Kaspa network, with a focus on community engagement, governance, and utility-driven infrastructure. It was designed to embody the principles of transparency and fairness, following a fair-launch model that allowed all users to mint tokens equally, without pre-allocations or insider distributions. The entire supply of 287 billion NACHO tokens was fully minted by the community, with the final supply minted on 15/09/2024.
The NACHO token powers multiple tools and initiatives within the Kaspa ecosystem. KatBot, a Discord-based bot, provides wallet management and token transaction functionalities, with marketplace features in development. Additionally, KatScan, the first KRC20 token explorer and analytics platform, enables users to track holdings and analyze token activities in real-time. These tools support the project’s mission of bridging the gap between advanced blockchain technologies and everyday users.
Kat Pool, an open-source mining pool scheduled for launch in November 2024, will allow users to mine Kaspa while contributing to the NACHO ecosystem through pooled revenue. A community-driven governance framework will also be introduced, allowing token holders to vote on proposals.
NACHO is already tradable on the KSPR Bot marketplace, Pionex Global, PionexUS, and CoinEx. Ongoing discussions with centralized exchanges aim to expand the token’s availability. As part of its future development, the project will release a KRC721 NFT collection aligned with Kasplex’s NFT protocol launch.
Nacho the Kat aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem within the Kaspa network by promoting community-driven governance, infrastructure development, and open-source collaboration. The project continues to explore new ways to provide value to the Kaspa community, with initiatives such as the Kaspa Alliance for Transparency (K.A.T.), a collaborative platform supporting code reviews and project development.
NACHO offers a dynamic blend of community participation and technical utility, contributing to the broader adoption and growth of the Kaspa ecosystem.
